The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship in Poland and Ukraine was a major international sporting event – and BESISTA® was right in the thick of things. The hot-dip galvanized BESISTA® compression rods, made of machined rods, in the Municipal Stadium (Stadion Miejski) in Wrocław, Poland, impressively demonstrate the immense variety of applications for BESISTA® tension rod systems and compression rod systems in facade construction.

For maximum cost effectiveness, the components were directly supplied to the facade contractor without intermediate agents. With a capacity of more than 42,000 seats, the construction places high demands on safety and sustainability.

Besides football matches and music festivals, the stadium also serves as a venue for cultural events. Yet, whatever purpose the stadium may serve, the clients and designers know they can rely on the safety margins offered by the BESISTA® compression rod systems.
