Here too, the high quality standards upheld by BESISTA® extend far beyond the norm to meet the stringent requirements imposed by high-spec applications, such as power stations, or the international export market.
The health and safety of our workforce enjoys the utmost priority. We are proud to say that no accident of any note has ever been recorded in the company’s 25-year history. Here, a major contribution is made by the regular safety drills prepared and conducted by our employees – on top of the measures needed to comply with the obligations specified by the “Berufsgenossenschaft” (Institution for Statutory Accident Insurance and Prevention).
Healthcare events with presentations and discussions on natural, healthy diets, workplace posture and the importance of physical exercise during leisure time are just some of the ways in which BESISTA® encourages its employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
At BESISTA®, we have almost completely achieved our target of generating zero waste during manufacture as a means of protecting our natural environment. To name a few examples: metals are fully recycled and wood converted into packaging or energy, while cardboard is shredded for use as a cushioning material in our own packaging. At BESISTA®, even the wastewater left over from cleaning the floors and machinery is filtered and dried into powder by the sun with no external energy use.
BESISTA®’s exemplary approach to EHS has attracted warm praise from the Berufs-genossenschaft inspectors, from Rezzo Schlauch, former Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour during his visit on 22.09.03, as well as from Alstom Power’s certification officer.
