Maximum structural efficiency is achieved by the contact-free crossing of tension rods within the same plane, thereby ensuring that the lines of force meet exactly at the crossing point. Please make use of our unique, cost-effective thread sizes M14, 18, 22, 33, 39, 45 and 68, which are marked red in the picture. Sizes M8, 27, 52, 60, 72 and 76 – half-red in the picture – are likewise only partially available from other manufacturers. BESISTA® is the only tension rod manufacturer to supply all possible sizes between M8 and M76. This allows tremendous cost savings while conserving valuable materials. To capitalize on these relevant advantages, unique to BESISTA®, please select the optimum sizes in your structural design and always state the limit tensile forces in the tendering specification.
Compression rod connections for compression rods made from steel, timber and other materials are a specialty of BESISTA®. They are available in three different types. The patented, easy-to-use BESISTA® BVS-230kN and BVS-500kN pretensioning systems permit highly efficient, controlled pretensioning of our tension rods. The compact and extra-light pretensioning systems, which are very simple to handle, allow tensioning – in the case of BVS-230kN, for example – within a matter of minutes. The BESISTA® systems display the tensioning force in kN. This simplifies the tensioning process and ensures greater safety when reading off values. The extremely large adjustment lengths offered by BESISTA® rod anchors are based on practical considerations. They allow adjustment of the system length by at least three times the rod diameter per rod, e.g. for M30: PLUS approx. 45 mm and MINUS approx. 45 mm, equal to approx. 90 mm in total. BESISTA® systems allow designers to dispense with turnbuckles and other ancillary components that would also detract from the aesthetic impact. The large adjustment lengths offer enormous benefits during installation.
The patented BESISTA® suspension system features special suspension rings which, unlike sleeves with straps, allow the tension rods to be turned and tensioned at all times.
