The BESISTA tension rod systems thus gives the pedestrian and cyclist bridge with its 40 tons the stability. Since all BESISTA system elements are hot-dip galvanized, the bridge is effectively protected against corrosion.

Perfectly blending with its natural surrounding, the Amseltal brdige is indeed an architectural gem. Much of the sleek, delicate design of the bridge stems from the BESISTA tension rod system. Some of the tension rods laterally secure the I-beams of the steel arched bridge, while others form the crossing points of the wooden structure.
