Ever since Germany’s highly popular Federal State Garden Show was held in Weil am Rhein, a new landmark viewing tower has graced the town. The 16 metre-high steel structure commands a splendid view over the surrounding countryside and into neighbouring Switzerland. A bridge branching off near the top of the tower also offers pedestrians a safe and easy route across the adjacent trunk road.

The tower was braced using BESISTA® designer tension bar systems, comprising tension bars with rod anchors / fork heads and cover sleeves. Durable top performance is guaranteed by the hot-dip galvanized threads of the tension bars, a unique feature of BESISTA® tension bar systems. Moreover, in terms of aesthetic impact, the BESISTA® tension bar systems are particularly captivating in the glow of the spotlights, when the tower is lit up at night.
