The BESISTA® tension bar system is an automatic enhancement to any showpiece projects at international exhibitions. “The Cloud”, built at Lake Neuchâtel near the Swiss city of Yverdon-les-Bains as one of the centrepieces of the EXPO.02 exhibition, is a prime illustration.

The 100 metre-long, 20 metre-high steel construction, entirely stabilized by the BESISTA® tension bar system, offered a fascinating spectacle: equipped with myriad jets spraying up to 30,000 tiny water droplets, the structure was able to create an artificial cloud.

In an environment marked by ingenuity and innovation, the BESISTA® tension bar system is very much at home. As the pictures show, the fully hot-dip galvanized tension bar systems passed even the stiffest “ice test”, yet again underlining BESISTA®‘s impeccable credentials in terms of safety and sustainability. The extra-large adjustment lengths, as a unique feature of the BESISTA® rod anchors / fork heads, proved a particular blessing during installation.
