Year in year out, numerous tourists flock to the Stage Theater at the Potsdamer Platz, one of Germany’s largest performance venues. Its top highlights include the International Film Festival Berlin Berlinale along with world-renowned musicals such as “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (“Der Glöckner von Notre Dame”).

Here, BESISTA® rod systems play a starring role in the exemplary structural steelwork concept: the tension rods with their sleek designer sleeves serve as suspension members in all stair and gallery assemblies. Moreover, BESISTA® tension rod systems assume the crucial stiffening function in the gigantic trussed beams. The BESISTA® 2-540 tension rod system is also used to stabilize the facade.

In developing its designs, the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris benefited from the easy access, via our website, to all necessary drawings, technical data and limit tensile forces.
