BESISTA® tension rod systems were used to stabilize the timberwork construction of a series of lookout towers in the Canadian province of Quebec. The panorama tower near St. Anthony’s Hermitage (Pictures 1 and 2) excels by its timber louvre design. Internally, rod systems are used to brace the assembly.A further lookout tower stands by the picturesque Lac Saint-Jean near Roberval (Pictures 3 and 4). Here, the BESISTA® tension rod systems are installed as stiffening members inside the tower and on the front face.

These examples serve to demonstrate the supreme weather resistance – even during the icy Canadian winters – offered by the BESISTA® tension rod system with its hot-dip galvanized rod threads. The direct business contacts with customers, without any intermediate marketing agents, proved highly efficient and helped to achieve maximum cost effectiveness.

All necessary documentation, including drawings, design loads, technical data and the technical approval were available for quick and efficient downloading from the BESISTA® website.
